The Project
Private equity investment firm Telemos Capital, continues to go from strength to strength. As their incumbent AV provider, Crossover was instructed to design, supply, and install comprehensive hybrid meeting solutions for their new office spaces. This included the installation of AV technology in their main boardroom, along with a 10-person meeting room, two smaller meeting rooms, and a phone booth.
The office move posed various challenges, such as the requirement to design and install AV systems in new spaces while ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience for employees who were used to the systems in the preexisting parts of their estate. The project was divided into two phases, and Crossover met tight deadlines to deliver the meeting rooms on time. Additionally, Crossover repurposed some of the client's existing equipment to help the client reduce project costs.

Crossover's approach
Telemos Capital's team have exacting standards for their offices. We seamlessly integrated into their overall office-move process, and delivered intuitive, high-quality AV for their meeting rooms and boardrooms, working closely with their interior designers, IT team and the Facilities team.
Key Features
- Upgraded Technology: The new office spaces featured state-of-the-art AV technology, including larger displays, PTZ cameras, and advanced audio systems.
- Relocation of Existing Equipment: To maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness, Crossover relocated as much existing AV equipment as possible.
Benefits
- Enhanced Collaboration: The AV systems improved collaboration and communication among Telemos Capital employees, and with their clients.
- Improved Productivity: The simple user interfaces meant that the staff found the systems very easy to use.
- Consistent Experience: By maintaining a consistent and intuitive AV experience across different meeting rooms, Crossover helped Telemos Capital ensure a seamless and easy transition to their new offices.
The Solution
The project was divided into two phases due to the construction project's overall timeline. In the first phase, Crossover delivered two small meeting rooms, allowing Telemos to continue using VC equipment while the main contractor, Active Workplace Solutions, carried out the refurbishment. In the second phase we installed the remaining rooms and relocated equipment that was now ready to be moved. All the meeting rooms are running Zoom Rooms, with the ability to handle Teams and Webex calls through Zoom interoperability.
Boardroom
- Videoconferencing Camera
To enable the system to be used for videoconferencing, a high-quality camera from market-leading manufacturer QSC was supplied and mounted by the screen. This camera can interact with the microphone system, meaning that different presets can be triggered depending on where the person speaking at any given time is located. There is also the option to override this and control the camera manually.
- Ceiling Speakers
Flush-mount ceiling speakers by specialist background audio system manufacturer Apart play back the audio of the videoconference calls and background music. These discreet speakers are ceiling-recessed and unobtrusive in appearance with ample power to give the volume required.
- 'Array' Microphone
To address the unique constraints posed by the ceilings in the boardroom and large meeting room, while ensuring an excellent user experience and a suitable aesthetic, we have incorporated 'line array' microphones which consist of an array of multiple microphones. Each individual microphone is directed towards different sections of the room, and their audio pickup is dynamically controlled by the backend hardware. This enables precise and automatic 'steering' of the audio pickup in the desired direction, resulting in exceptional audio quality, remarkable clarity, and wide coverage for one unit. Using the 'steerable coverage' feature, our experienced audio engineers calibrated the microphone system to selectively capture specific areas of the room, effectively eliminating background noise. This tailored approach allows the microphones to focus on different zones based on the varied usage scenarios of the room.
- Interactive Display
In the boardroom, Crossover supplied and installed the NEC’s 86’’ interactive display, a solution designed to play a powerful role in teams collaborating. With its sleek design, brilliant 4K visuals, and advanced connectivity features, it ensures seamless presentations, impactful discussions, and helps the teams at Telemos Capital make informed choices as a group, quickly and efficiently.

10-Person Meeting Room
In terms of room functionality and equipment, the large meeting room is set up very similarly to the Boardroom. The main difference is that it's a smaller room, and we decided to use the Logitech Rally camera in this space.
4-Person meeting rooms
Due to the room's size and orientation, we specified a solution centred around the Rally Bar Mini, which provided optimal camera capture and excellent audio quality for the room.

Project Success
Crossover's expertise and commitment to delivering exceptional AV solutions played a crucial role in Telemos Capital's successful office move and the ongoing success of the new spaces. The tailored AV systems have of course played a key role in the functionality of the new spaces, and we're proud to have provided a seamless and efficient working environment for their employees.
