The Client - Museum of Brands
Dedicated to the story of how brands shape - and are shaped - by culture, society and people, the Museum of Brands has a collection of 150 years of brands, packaging and advertising.
The museum houses a dedicated events space which presents temporary exhibitions, talks and workshops, to create debates, share ideas and examine the role of brands in history and the modern world. The museum hosts more than 250 events and conferences per year for brands such as Unilever, Facebook, Tesco and more in their presentation and events space.
The museum features a mile long Time Tunnel that takes visitors through history from the Victorian Era to present day via the medium of product packaging, magazines, toys and games. One of the major points of interest in West London, the Museum of Brands attracts crowds of 40,000 each year since moving in to vibrant Notting Hill in 2015. The 12,000 items on display offer a different perspective on society's ever changing attitudes and perceptions. From shower gel bottles to Cadbury wrapping, from Art Nouveau to Art Deco this exhibition unravels our culture's relationship with branding and advertising.
The Project
In order to overhaul the heavily-used event space, Crossover was engaged to install a new laser projection system and a sound system featuring wide-dispersion Martin Audio loudspeakers.
Wireless microphones were installed, along with a wireless presentation solution, to maximise the flexibility of using AV in the events space.
After the AV installation the staff at Museum of Brands were given comprehensive training on using the AV systems, and enjoy continued support from our engineers as they manage a wider range of events at the venue.
For the Crossover installation team it was both an enjoyable and educational project to work on!
