The Client
Situated in a prime location with a riverside terrace at the heart of Vauxhall, Four Degree has quickly established itself as a London destination for fine dining and entertainment. Dazzling interior design, world class service and a contemporary menu of Japanese food with a European twist in an airy and expansive open-plan space have been key to their ongoing successes, which includes winning an OpenTable Diners’ Choice Award 2018.
Not afraid to experiment with ingredients, Four Degree embellish the traditional restaurant experience with a sushi bar, private dining with incorporated entertainment systems, weekly musical entertainment, the U.K's first Macallan whisky lounge and an expansive gallery space.
The Project
Crossover supplied and installed AV across the entire new site. This included an extensive Bose background audio system incorporating a balance of traditional ceiling tile speakers and pendant speakers driven by Lab Gruppen amplification, delivering uniform coverage throughout the multi-tiered open plan space. Cloud electronics proved a reliable and efficient option to achieve multi-zone volume control for the various areas.
The quality of components provided enough headroom and flexibility that Crossover were able to accommodate a last-minute request for a DJ input into the system as an occasional alternative to curated playlists for the restaurant’s background audio feed.

Proximity to residential properties presented considerable acoustical considerations for the architectural design of the restaurant and installation of the sound system.
Crossover’s installation team were able to draw upon their extensive experience to navigate the complexities of the install without compromising the acoustic integrity of insulating walls or ceilings. Particular attention was given to sound volume levels throughout the audio system during commissioning, just as very careful attention to the aesthetics of the loudspeaker installation ensures fit with the high standards of decoration throughout.
