Here at Crossover we recently completed an extensive installation project for Art’otel Hoxton, a contemporary collection of hotels in Europe which fuse architectural style with art-inspired interiors. Crossover elevated the guest experience installing a wide array of advanced audio and visual equipment. We are thrilled with the outcome of this remarkable project.

Art’otel Hoxton stands proudly on a bustling Shoreditch corner, just a stone’s throw from Old Street roundabout and a short walk from Hoxton Square—an area rich in artistic heritage, from galleries and residencies to clubs and cultural hubs. Conveniently, it’s also located across the road from Crossover’s former offices and just minutes from our current home.
The striking 26-storey cylindrical building takes inspiration from a fractured cogwheel, featuring distinctive twisted concrete fins. This high-spec, AV-intensive development houses a 357-room boutique hotel, a gym and spa, an art gallery, an art cinema, creative commercial spaces, retail units, a private members’ club, and a publicly accessible restaurant and bar.
With extensive experience designing, supplying, and installing AV and VC systems across diverse commercial sectors—including hotels, restaurants, bars, health and fitness facilities, and other leisure and hospitality venues—Crossover is the perfect partner for such a dynamic, multi-use development.

We seamlessly integrated into the project, delivering intuitive, high-quality AV solutions across the hotel's diverse spaces. Working closely with the interior designers, IT specialists, and facilities team, we ensured that every system met the demands of this cutting-edge, multi-use venue.
The Solution
Basement, Ground and First Floor
The ground and first floors of Art’otel Hoxton feature a seamless Bose sound system, delivering high-quality background audio throughout the lobby, reception, bar, and restaurants. We designed and installed a fully integrated solution using Bose DM series in-ceiling speakers and in-ceiling subwoofers to ensure rich, even coverage across all areas. This same high-performance audio system extends to the basement spa area, while the projection-mapped art gallery features Monitor Audio in-wall speakers, providing clear and immersive sound tailored to the space. Each zone is independently controlled, allowing for precise audio management across different areas. To streamline operation, we integrated the Bose iPad app, enabling staff to easily adjust audio levels and settings for each zone, ensuring the perfect ambiance at all times.
24th Floor
The 24th floor of Art’otel Hoxton is equipped with a fully integrated Q-SYS system, supporting 11 divisible rooms, each featuring state-of-the-art AV and VC technology. Every room is fitted with Bose in-ceiling speakers, a display that seamlessly folds out from the ceiling, a Shure MXA920 in-ceiling microphone, and a Q-SYS ePTZ camera for high-quality video conferencing. Any combination of rooms can be merged for larger events, with all AV functions controlled via dedicated Q-SYS touch panels in each space. A central master control panel allows for easy scheduling and configuration of the divisible rooms, ensuring maximum flexibility and a premium user experience.
26th Floor
The 26th-floor gym at Art’otel Hoxton features a discreet yet powerful Bose DM series sound system, expertly integrated behind a mesh grill for a seamless aesthetic. This installation required extensive planning and coordination from our design and project engineering teams to ensure optimal performance while maintaining the gym’s sleek design. The system is fully controlled via the Bose iPad app, allowing staff to easily adjust audio settings and create the perfect workout atmosphere.
Auditorium
The auditorium at Art’otel Hoxton is designed to deliver an exceptional cinema experience, featuring a 7.1 surround sound system by Monitor Audio for immersive audio. The system is powered by a Q-SYS DCIOH cinema processor, ensuring precise audio control and integration. We also installed a high-resolution projector and a large projection screen, perfect for cinematic viewing. The room is controlled via a Q-SYS touch panel, making it easy to operate. To support livestreaming and recording, the auditorium is equipped with a Q-SYS PTZ camera, capturing presentations with clarity. A wireless microphone system provides clear, flexible audio, allowing the space to seamlessly transition from a cinema experience to hosting events, presentations, and broadcasts.
