Founded in 1889, ABRSM are based in Salters’ Hall on London Wall, near Moorgate in London, but invest more than £6 million in music education across the globe every year through donations, scholarships and sponsorship.
AV SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
ABRSM initially contacted Crossover in 2018 to provide AV support, service and maintenance for their existing boardrooms, meeting rooms and flexible event space.
The existing AV systems had numerous issues including components that were no longer fit for purpose, control systems that were unnecessarily complex for the current users in the business and basic problems with connectivity for presentations.
These problems meant ABRSM’s staff were experiencing many disrupted meetings when trying to carry out even basic presentations in the rooms, leading to distrust of the equipment and the IT team spending far too long troubleshooting AV systems, outside of their core IT-based responsibilities.
Under the initial support agreement, ABRSM’s team could contact Crossover for remote support, and if an AV engineer was required to investigate a problem, an engineer would visit site either the same, or the following, working day.
Also included with the support agreement were full ‘preventative maintenance visits’ whereby the AV system in each space was fully checked, tested and analysed for any potential problems, with a full report back after the visit and any follow up work booked in.
TEAMS VIDEOCONFERENCING OVERHAUL FOR MEETING ROOMS AND BOARDROOM
In 2021 ABRSM decided to overhaul many of the meeting spaces at their London premises. The business was fully invested in Microsoft Teams as their chosen platform, and aimed to achieve a uniform user experience across the various sizes of meeting rooms, as well as improve ease of use.
Logitech Teams systems were chosen for these reasons, as the brand cater for a range of sizes of meeting rooms with their videoconferencing products, with systems that are certified by Microsoft, and proven to be reliable and straightforward to use. Staff at ABRSM can now walk into any of the Teams-enabled spaces and join scheduled meetings with one touch on the Teams interface, presented on the Logitech Tap touch screens.
Teams videoconferencing systems overhaul for ABRSM:
- Boardroom – Logitech Rally Plus systems, with native Teams interface presented on the Logitech Tap touch panel
- Small meeting rooms – Logitech Meetup videoconferencing soundbar, with Tap touch panel for calling and controlling the meeting
- Trolley-based systems – Logitech Rally videoconferencing soundbar
