Celebrating Our Art’otel Collaboration

We are immensely proud that the expertise, creativity, and technical excellence invested into the art’otel London Hoxton project by many of the team here at Crossover has been recognised by the AV Awards judges. The project exemplifies our mission to deliver the best AV solutions to enhance guest experience, support flexible operations, and elevate client experiences.

Art'otel Hoxton

Project Overview

Set in the heart of Shoreditch, art’otel Hoxton is a 26-storey cylindrical hotel that embraces both bold architectural identity and contemporary artistic flair.
The building accommodates:

  • 357 boutique-style guest rooms
  • A gym, spa, and wellness areas
  • An art gallery and art cinema
  • Creative commercial spaces and retail units
  • A private members’ club
  • A publicly accessible bar and restaurant

All of which demanded tailored, high-performance AV and integrated systems to match the aesthetic ambition and operational needs of the venue.

Our Approach

From the earliest design stage, our team embedded itself in the project’s vision, collaborating closely with interior designers, IT consultants, and facilities management.

We set out to deliver solutions that would:

  • Provide excellent sound quality across all public and private zones
  • Offer adaptable control and zoning for varied use cases
  • Remain discreet in design, avoiding intrusive hardware in carefully curated interiors
  • Scale and flex with future expansions

Solution Highlights

Ground, First Floors & Spa

We deployed a Bose DM series in-ceiling speaker and subwoofer system to deliver seamless background audio across reception, bar, restaurant and spa areas. Each zone is independently controllable via the Bose iPad app, enabling staff to fine-tune ambiance on the fly.
In the art gallery / projection-mapped space, we integrated Monitor Audio in-wall speakers, optimised for clarity and immersive presence.

24th-Floor Divisible Rooms

The 24th floor hosts 11 rooms that can operate separately or merge flexibly for larger events. Each room is equipped with:

  • Bose in-ceiling speakers
  • A display that folds from the ceiling
  • Shure MXA920 in-ceiling microphone
  • Q-SYS ePTZ camera
Control is handled via dedicated Q-SYS touch panels, with a master scheduling interface that allows smooth reconfiguration between different event setups.

Why This Project Resonates

The art’otel Hoxton installation is a refined demonstration of how audiovisual systems can serve design ambition without compromise. It required careful balance: high performance, operational flexibility, and aesthetic sensitivity. The project also bridges multiple user types (hotel guests, event attendees, gallery visitors, guests of the spa facilities etc.) into a cohesive experience that is supported by the AV infrastructure.
